Aligned with its environmental commitment, Seara planted 300 tree seedlings as a sustainable action during its participation in Rock in Rio. The planting took place in the municipality of Sousas, Campinas, with seedlings originating from the Atlantic Forest (Araucária, Paineira, Aroeira, Guapuruvu, Fumo Bravo, Pitanga, Pau Viola, Ipê, and Cedro).

For over 60 years, Seara has been working to offer products that bring practicality, trust, and innovation to your table, always with the flavor and quality that will surprise the whole family.
As a sponsor of Rock in Rio 2022, Seara is aware of the environmental impacts caused by an event of this magnitude and is committed to neutralizing the CO2 emissions from its installation at the festival through the compensation of carbon credits. Additionally, it plants 300 seedlings as part of its actions to make the event more sustainable. During Rock In Rio, the brand will have a space developed by the agency F/Malta to receive the entire audience in the arena. With various activations, the brand will provide a unique and exclusive experience, with the participation, on specific days, of chef Claude Troisgros, the brand ambassador.
The planting will take place in Sousas, in the state of São Paulo. The Biome that covers the chosen area is the Atlantic Forest, which comprises about 15% of the national territory, in 17 states. It is home to 72% of Brazilians and concentrates 70% of the national GDP. Essential services such as water supply, climate regulation, agriculture, fishing, electricity, and tourism depend on it. Today, only 12.4% of the original forest remains.
For this reason, this initiative contributes to the maintenance of essential environmental services for life and to the strengthening of local organizations.
Planting trees demonstrates environmental concern, bringing nature as the central position of its actions, besides contributing to the production of water, oxygen, and guaranteeing conditions for the permanence of the local fauna, and consequently for the restoration of the Atlantic Forest Biome, the most devastated in the country. All these actions contribute to the fight against climate change.

What are the project SDGs
The project Seara | Rock in Rio Planting includes 4 of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, which are:

AFFORDABLE AND CLEAN ENERGY
Ensure reliable, sustainable, modern, and affordable access to energy for all. This goal aims to ensure that all people have access to reliable, sustainable, and modern energy sources to meet their basic needs such as lighting, heating, transportation, and productive use. This includes promoting access to renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and hydroelectric power, and ensuring that the energy transition is made inclusively and equitably, taking into account the needs of the most vulnerable communities. Additionally, it seeks to improve energy efficiency and expand access to energy services in rural and remote areas.

SUSTAINABLE CITIES AND COMMUNITIES
Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable. This goal aims to improve the quality of life in urban areas by promoting sustainable urban development and ensuring equitable access to basic services such as adequate housing, public transportation, sanitation, energy, and infrastructure. It also seeks to make cities safer, resilient to natural disasters, and environmentally sustainable by protecting cultural and natural heritage and promoting inclusive economic development. SDG 11 recognizes the crucial role of cities in achieving the global Sustainable Development Goals and promoting a more just and sustainable future for all.

CLIMATE ACTION
Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts. This goal aims to address the challenges posed by climate change, including reducing greenhouse gas emissions, adapting to adverse impacts already occurring, and promoting climate resilience. Achieving this goal requires actions at various levels, from local to international, aiming at mitigating emissions, developing adaptation strategies, implementing environmental policies, and mobilizing resources to finance measures to combat climate change. SDG 13 recognizes the urgency of acting to avoid the worst effects of climate change and to protect the environment for future generations.

LIFE ON LAND
Protect, restore, and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, halt and reverse land degradation, and halt biodiversity loss. This goal aims to ensure the conservation and sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, including forests, wetlands, mountains, and drylands, as well as the protection of biodiversity and natural habitats. It seeks to promote sustainable land management practices, restoration of degraded ecosystems, biodiversity conservation, combating desertification and land degradation, and preventing species extinction. SDG 15 recognizes the fundamental role of terrestrial ecosystems in the health of the planet, in mitigating climate change, and in human well-being.
