Preserving natural resources, bringing positive results to society and future generations, is one of Ouro e Prata's values - the pillar of socio-environmental responsibility. The environmental concern of Grupo Ouro e Prata is reflected in its daily practices and in the encouragement of environmental awareness.
This month of anniversary, they worked on several environmental actions, including a special one focused on tree day. Each ticket sold on the website (www.ouroeprata.com) of Ouro e Prata on September 21 was converted into the planting of a native tree seedling. This initiative aims to minimize current environmental impacts and work within the company's values.
The planting will be carried out in Gravataí, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. The area is located within the limits of the Atlantic Forest Biome, however, it is located in a transition zone, because about 2 km to the west is the limit of the Pampa Biome.
The Biome that encompasses the chosen area is the Atlantic Forest, which covers about 15% of the national territory, in 17 states. It is home to 72% of Brazilians and concentrates 70% of the national GDP. Essential services such as water supply, climate regulation, agriculture, fishing, electricity, and tourism depend on it. Today, only 12.4% of the forest that originally existed remains.
For this reason, this initiative contributes to the maintenance of essential environmental services for life and to the strengthening of local organizations.

What are the project SDGs
The project Planting Viação Ouro e Prata - 82 years includes 3 of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, which are:

SUSTAINABLE CITIES AND COMMUNITIES
Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable. This goal aims to improve the quality of life in urban areas by promoting sustainable urban development and ensuring equitable access to basic services such as adequate housing, public transportation, sanitation, energy, and infrastructure. It also seeks to make cities safer, resilient to natural disasters, and environmentally sustainable by protecting cultural and natural heritage and promoting inclusive economic development. SDG 11 recognizes the crucial role of cities in achieving the global Sustainable Development Goals and promoting a more just and sustainable future for all.

CLIMATE ACTION
Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts. This goal aims to address the challenges posed by climate change, including reducing greenhouse gas emissions, adapting to adverse impacts already occurring, and promoting climate resilience. Achieving this goal requires actions at various levels, from local to international, aiming at mitigating emissions, developing adaptation strategies, implementing environmental policies, and mobilizing resources to finance measures to combat climate change. SDG 13 recognizes the urgency of acting to avoid the worst effects of climate change and to protect the environment for future generations.

LIFE ON LAND
Protect, restore, and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, halt and reverse land degradation, and halt biodiversity loss. This goal aims to ensure the conservation and sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, including forests, wetlands, mountains, and drylands, as well as the protection of biodiversity and natural habitats. It seeks to promote sustainable land management practices, restoration of degraded ecosystems, biodiversity conservation, combating desertification and land degradation, and preventing species extinction. SDG 15 recognizes the fundamental role of terrestrial ecosystems in the health of the planet, in mitigating climate change, and in human well-being.
